Jimmie Carden

Jimmie Wendell Carden Sr., 79, of Macon, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Glen Have Memorial Gardens. Reverend Kenny Peters will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in Fairhaven Funeral Home, Macon.
Born in Danville, Georgia , he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Benjamin Idus Carden Sr., and Minnie Mae Arnold Carden, and Step Mother, Susie Mae Sanders Carden. He was a retired supervisor with Armstrong World Industries and was of the Methodist Faith. He was an avid fisherman and loved anything outdoors. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Maloy Brook Carden, Willie Harold Carden "Bill"; Claxton Carden and Benjamin Idus Carden "Jr".
He is survived by his wife, Faye Walker Carden, Son, Jimmie Wendell Carden Jr. "Jay" and grandchildren, Benjamin Tyler Carden, Bailey Fae Carden. Step sister, Bettie Sikes Causey, Brother in law, Hines Causey. Several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Barbara and Ed Swords.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Methodist Children's Home, 304 Peirce Ave. Macon, Ga. 31204.
