Jessica was born in Mobile, Alabama in the summer of 1985 to Lynn and Donna Verzone. Growing up she embraced her seaside surroundings on Mobile Bay, spending much of her free time at the beaches of Dauphin Island with friends and family. Seeking adventure and to explore the world, Jessica struck out on her own and found her way to New York City. There she found inspiration, opportunity, and community, as she asserted her independence and embraced adulthood on her own terms.
Following a decade of pursuing her passions, education, and friendships and the country, she settled in Macon, Georgia. Enticed by the small city's charm, and natural beauty, it was there Jessica met her husband and the love of her life, Matthew. The couple moved to Atlanta seeking broader horizons and to lead a vibrant and prosperous life together. Missing old friends and familiar surroundings, Jessica and Matthew returned to Macon after their first year of marriage. Shortly after, Jessica's health began to decline. Following more than a year struggling with increasingly severe medical issues, Jessica passed away from ongoing health complications on Friday, February 2, 2018.
Jessica is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Donna, whom she lost in childhood. She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew, her father, Lynn, sister, Delania, and her four cherished cats, Snack, Cesare, Lulu and Cicero.
