Jay Doyle Brown, Jr., 58, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Jay's life will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Lake Wildwood Baptist Church, 701 Greentree Parkway, Macon, Georgia 31220. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation and fellowship. Pastor Paul Dziadul will officiate all services.
Jay was born on July 21, 1967, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Jay Doyle Brown, Sr. and Mrs. Raynelle Holder Brown.
A man whose life was marked by faith, friendship, and adventure, Jay loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a devoted member of Lake Wildwood Baptist Church and was baptized on October 2, 2016, publicly professing his faith in Christ. His relationship with God guided him throughout his life and brought him great joy and peace.
Jay was known throughout the community for his larger-than-life personality and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He truly never met a stranger. Whether sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or simply making someone laugh, Jay had a gift for making people feel welcome. Those who knew him often remarked on his infectious spirit, warm smile, and genuine kindness.
One of Jay's greatest passions was raising bucking bulls. What began with two bulls named Smoky and Bandit eventually grew into his own business, Brown’s Bucking Bulls. Through hard work, dedication, and a love for the sport of rodeo, his bulls became a familiar sight at rodeo events. He took tremendous pride in the animals he raised and the reputation he built.
Jay also had a deep love for music and live entertainment. His adventures in the music industry included touring with the legendary Rolling Stones as a roadie, an experience he enjoyed recounting with family and friends. Concerts, music, and the memories that came with them remained among his favorite pastimes throughout his life.
Above all else, Jay cherished the life he shared with his beloved wife, Lisa. Together they spent twenty-two wonderful years creating memories, traveling, and embracing life's adventures. Whether exploring new places or navigating rugged Jeep trails that occasionally tested his courage, the experiences they shared were among his greatest treasures. Jay loved life fully and lived it with enthusiasm, gratitude, and a spirit of adventure.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of twenty-two years, Lisa Brown; his mother-in-law, Barbara Denham; his father-in-law, Jerry Denham; his sisters, Kim Hartley (Todd) and Terri Cunningham; his sister-in-law, Cheryl Stapleton (Doug); his beloved fur baby, Ella; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
While his family grieves his passing, they find comfort in knowing that Jay's faith has become sight and that he is now resting in the presence of his Lord.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jay's honor to Lake Wildwood Baptist Church or United in Pink to support local breast cancer survivors.
Jay's adventurous spirit, unwavering faith, generous heart, and love for people will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
