Jane McCarter Maynard

Jane McCarter Maynard, 87, of Macon, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Lizella Baptist Church. Funeral Services to honor her life will be held Friday, following the visitation, beginning 11:00 a.m. at Lizella Baptist Church. Reverend Chris Minton will officiate. Immediately following the service, Mrs. Maynard will be laid to rest in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery beside her husband of 62 years, Harold Wilder Maynard.
Mrs. Maynard was born on July 13, 1938 in Wadley, Alabama to the late Luther and Annie Mae McCarter. She retired as a Dictation Specialist for Dr. Fernandez and various other doctors in the Middle Georgia area. Mrs. Maynard had a big family of Christian friends especially her Sunday School Class at Lizella Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending precious time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Maynard; brothers, Melvin and Jack McCarter; sisters, Nell Jacobs and Mary Harlin.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Children; Ken Maynard, and Wendy Odom (Sam) Grandchildren; Tripp Johnson (Jessica), and April Johnson. Great grandchildren, Gracie, Jake, Keelan, Bristol, Weston, and Keely Johnson; one Great great grandson, Beckett Johnson; and Sister, Judy Harvel.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 South Lizella Road Macon, Ga. 31052.
