James Daniel "Dan" Williams

May 14, 1953 — January 11, 2026

Macon

James Daniel Williams, lovingly known as “Dan,” age 72, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Dan was born on May 14, 1953, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. James Clifford Williams and Mrs. Helen Chapman Williams. A man of quiet strength and gentle spirit, Dan was known for his kindness, caring nature, and dry sense of humor. Though he was often a loner by choice, those who knew him understood his deep loyalty and steady presence.

Dan found true peace in the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, with a special passion for hog and deer hunting. The hunting club where he was a member was his sanctuary, a place where he felt most at home, surrounded by nature and the simple rhythms he cherished.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Jan English and nephew, Paul Noe

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Pam Ellis and Donna (Matthew) Mcbride; his great-nephew and namesake, Daniel Noe; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Services to celebrate Dan’s life may be held at a later date.

Dan will be remembered for his quiet heart, his love of the outdoors, and the peace he carried with him, a peace he now rests in forever.
