James Ray Trotter

James Ray Trotter, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. The family would like to invite friends to join them for a visitation on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Fairhaven Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
James was born on August 30, 1935, in Athens, Tennessee to the late Mr. Bill and Mrs. Texie Trotter. James was a man of simple pleasures and unwavering devotion. A passionate fan of NASCAR and westerns, he found joy in the thrill of the race and the rugged stories of the Old West. As a devoted carpenter and wood worker, he took great pride in his craft, always providing for his family with the fruits of his labor. His love for his wife was evident in everything he did, and he would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Known for his kindness, compassion, and generosity, James was a truly loving and caring soul who touched the lives of everyone around him. His humility and dedication to his loved ones made him a cherished figure, one whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, forever.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kenny Trotter.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of nearly 54 years, Blondie; children, Christie Crump, Angela Trotter, and Randy (Rita) Trotter; brother, Tommy Trotter; nine grandchildren and a host of many great and great-great grandchildren.
