James "Stretch" Nelson Thigpen, 65, of Macon, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 in the New Elim Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Parkway Memorial Gardens in Warner Robins, Ga. Reverend Johnny Baggett will officiate.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, he was the son of the late James A. Thigpen. He was retired machinist at Robins Air Force Base after 35 years. He was preceded in death by a son, David Shayne Thigpen.
He is survived by his son, Cody Lee Thigpen of Warner Robins; Step-daughter, Lissa Goble of Atlanta; Mother, Myrtle Barfield Thigpen of Macon, Brother, Mark Thigpen(Sheila) of Macon, Sister, Debbie Miles(Bill) of Douglasville, Ga.. and Two Grandchildren.
