James Staples

James Ashley Staples, Sr. of Macon, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Ronnie Folsom will officiate.A private graveside will be held on Friday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 10 a.m. till service time in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, he was the son of the late Henry Grady Staples Sr. and Susie Winford Howard Staples.
He was the husband of the late Emma Lou Howell Staples. He was retired Civil service from Robins Air Force Base and was the owner and operator of Staples Trucking Company. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Grady Staples Jr.; Jack Staples and sister, Reba Reeves.

He is survived by his children, Jimmy Staples (Belinda) and Judith Staples Thomas. Brother, Buddy Staples (Linda) and a sister, Carolyn Staples Driskell (Jessie) 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
