James Carlton Sego, SR., of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024. A funeral service to honor his life will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at New Elim Baptist Church. The family will have a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Immediately following, Mr. Sego will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Dennis Sego will officiate the services.
Mr. Sego was born in Macon, Georgia on April 13, 1950, to the late Mr. James Leon Sego and Mrs. Naomi Ruth Easters. He was a devoted employee at Quest Diagnostics before retiring. James was a simple man, he enjoyed life for what it had to offer. He enjoyed music, and the simplicity that came with it. James was an extraordinary grandfather and spent most of his time nurturing and loving his family. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Sego; grandson, Brandon Lynn; and daughter, Dana Beck.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Sandra Kay Sego; children, James "Jim" Carlton Sego, Jr. and Dawn (CR) Brackett; grandchildren, Alyssa (Adam), Dalton (Tiffany), Candice, Brittany, Becca, Kayla, Preston, Rylan, Raegan, Mark, Misty (Johnathon), Megan (Forrest); several great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
