James Lee Schofill, 70, of Lizella, passed away suddenly Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his residence. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd, Macon. The Reverend Len Woodard will officiate. The family will have a viewing and visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Born in Douglas, Georgia, James was the son of late John and Ola Schofill. James lived the majority of his life in Adel, Georgia and worked as a Brick Mason for several different companies. He loved sports and was an avid Football fan. He especially loved the Florida Seminoles and the Georgia Bulldogs. He still kept up with the Cook County High School Hornets Football team and would root for them any chance he got. His true passion in life was fishing and James loved being outdoors. He was the epitome of a Good Ole Southern Georgia Boy, always putting his family before himself.
James was preceded in death by his parents as well as his siblings, Robert C. Schofill, Marjulia Weldon, Ruth Penrod, and one son; Jonathon Schofill.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 41 years; Felicia Schofill. Three children; James Lee Schofill, Jr., Brandy Schofill, and John Daniel Schofill. Five Grandchildren; Michael Heard, Briana Heard, Lailie Heard, Brandon Maye, Mikayla Simpson. Two Great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
