James Franklin Ross, 70, of Macon passed away on July 19, 2019. All services will be private. James was born on August 1, 1948 in Bristol, Virginia to the late Herbert B. Ross and Betty J. Waldron Ross. After graduation from Valdosta State College he went to officers training school for the United States Air Force. He proudly served our country as a T37 instructor for 3 years at Moody Air Force Base. James was then transferred to Robins Air Force Base, where he was a B52 commander. After his time in the service, James went on to work as a Self Employed Insurance Broker for many years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting of any kind and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member Ingleside Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister; Rosemary Wells (John). Nieces; Mary Wells Hayes (Thomas) and Melissa Wells Bowen (Ryan). One great niece; Katie Rose Hayes and several cousins.
