James Edward "Jimbo" Reynolds Jr. 42, of Lizella, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 19, 2016 at 11:00am in Lizella United Methodist Church. The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Friday November 18, 2016 in Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Born in Macon, he was a third generation member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Chapter #1316, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and was working with White Electric Company at the time of his passing. He was a member of the Lizella United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years; Amy Mincey Reynolds, Children; Justin Curtis Reynolds and Joshua Carter Reynolds, parents; James Edward "Jimmy" Reynolds and Vera Malcom Reynolds, Brother; Joseph Matthew Reynolds, Sister-in-Law; Brianna Melley Reynolds, Grandmother; Lillian Reynolds, Nephew; Austin Reynolds, Nieces; Kayla, Haiden and Paityn Reynolds, uncles; Larry (Ann) Reynolds, Lynn (Brenda) Reynolds and Melvin Malcom; aunts; Dianne Reynolds, Diane (Steve) McCarty and Donna (Steve) Elliott; numerous cousins, beloved in-laws, treasured friends, countless union brothers and sisters and three dogs; Pepper Ann and "the other two." He was preceded in death by Grandfather; Joseph Reynolds, Grandparents; Bernard and Annie Ruth Matthews; Uncles, Kenneth Reynolds and Malcolm Seymour; Aunt, Vivian Seymour. Jimbo will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jimbo enjoyed firearms and football but his favorite pastime was golf. Many weekends were spent on the course with his two boys or his best friend and union brother, Kim "Kimbob" Harrison. Jimbo was an avid baseball player in his youth. As his kids grew, he was actively involved in coaching their Dixie Youth Baseball teams in Roberta. In more recent years, he enjoyed attending every Crawford County High School baseball game he could, even if it meant only getting to see Josh's last at-bat. Jimbo was also fond of fishing and hunting.
