Born in Miami, Florida , He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Paige Mills Montgomery, Children, Shane Buchanan, Cole Buchanan, and a step-son, Brett-Harte McWhorter. Sister, Jaime Montgomery. Father, James Richard Montgomery and mother, Virginia Louise Bogardus.
