James Hudson

June 24, 1937 — February 19, 2022

To meet Wayne Hudson was to gain a lifelong friend. He loved to talk and share stories and had an uncanny ability to make anyone he was around feel as if they'd known him forever. His favorite topics of conversation included the Georgia Bulldogs, his children and grandchildren, and anything that might bring a smile to someone's face.
James Wayne Hudson was born to the late Ms.Cleo Scarborough and Mr. William Vann Hudson in Albany, Georgia, and has three brothers—William Hudson, Jack Hudson, and Charles Hudson. After graduating from high school, Wayne served in the United States Navy and then met and married the love of his life, Mrs. Naomi Hudson. Together they had two children, Rhonda and Keith. Wayne worked at Tom's Candy Company/Candy USA as a general manager for over thirty years and then retired from Walthall Oil Company.
Wayne passed away on February 19, 2022, in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 84. His battle with recent health issues showed that he faced everything in life with courage in his heart, a smile on his face, and a good joke in his back pocket. He is preceded in death by one brother, William Hudson (Sue). He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Naomi Hudson; his two children, Rhonda Bennett (Ronnie) and Keith Hudson (Lynn); two brothers, Jack Hudson and Charles Hudson (Becky); his four grandchildren, Kristen Fowler (Jeremy), Jessica Napier (Taylor), Keily Hudson, and Colby Hudson; his four great-grandchildren, Coleman Fowler, Logan Fowler, Collins Napier, and Camryn Napier; and many nieces and nephews.
