James Holmes

James Thomas Holmes, 74, of Gray, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Feb 5, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Gray.
Mr. Holmes was born on September 8, 1947, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, to the late James William Holmes, Jr. and Pannie Irene Gardner. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed contractor, as well as a volunteer firefighter and a free mason.
Mr. Holmes was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Patsy Franklin Holmes and brother, Troy Lynn Farr.
Left to cherish Mr. Holmes memory is his daughters, Amy Denaro (Michael), Christy White (Robby); sons, Scott Holmes and Michael Holmes (Kim); 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Merritt Franklin Holmes.
