James Hardison

February 8, 1941 — January 21, 2021

James E. Hardison, 79, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, at 2:00 PM at Byron Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Barnes and Dr. Paul Davis officiating. Immediately following the service, Mr. Hardison will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, in Macon. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.

After living in Miami, Florida, and graduating from the University of Miami in 1969, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Mr. Hardison came back to Macon in 2015. During the 1950's he played ball with the Southside Lions Indians.

Mr. Hardison is survived by his son, Jeff Hardison; daughters, Cheryl Peters and Sandy Hardison; grandchildren, Colby, Analise, Trevor, and Preston; wife, Penny Hardison; two step-children, Jonathan Sanders and Elizabeth Sanders; and ex-wife, Lilliana Lobez Hardison.
