James Michael Bush of Byron, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 31, 2025. A funeral service to honor his life will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hardison Baptist Church. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Immediately following the services, Mr. Bush will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Bryant Griffitts will officiate the services.
Mr. Bush was born in Macon, Georgia on February 3, 1969, to Mr. James Leon Bush and Mrs. Beth Floyd Bush. He attended church and always enjoyed his time he spent within the church walls, no matter where that was. James was known to always make you laugh and show love to all those he encountered. He was a devoted employee, earning Employee of the Year, two separate years at the Commissary on Robins Air Force Base. Aside from his career, he could be found with a coke in one hand and a cookie in the other. James would always make his love for wrestling evident, along with his love for animals. Above all, his family was the light of his life. His loving spirit, kind heart and generous laugh will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Beth Floyd Bush; brother, Shawn Bush; sisters, Diane (Dallas) Fowler and Dawn (Kenneth) McAllaster; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Roberta Health and Rehabilitation for the generous care they showed James in his time with them.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make contributions in James's honor to the Academy of the Blind.
