Jacqueline Iris Minter Morgan, 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 16, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday May 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Sanctified Holy Church Chapel, 2500 US HWY 41 North, Fort Valley with Mr. John Keldeahl officiating. Burial will be immediately following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, and again at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M.
Born in Laurens County, Georgia, on October 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James Alva Minter and Susie Jane Skinner Minter. She spent the majority of her life as a Homemaker, caring for her eight children.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband of 58 ½ years, Fred Morgan, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her eight children: Mark Morgan ( Michelle) of Gaffney, South Carolina, Barbara Hayes (Keith) of Byron, George Morgan (Louise) of Lizella, Janice Hill of Macon, Dianne Edwards (John) of Byron, Sammy Morgan of Fort Valley, Bruce Morgan (Lisa) of Gray, and Wendy Jackson (Dana) of Macon, 29 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Church Home for the Aged for the love and care they showed Mrs. Morgan over the years.
