Jacobs Eugene Lang, 86, of Macon, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Funeral services will be private.
Mr. Lang was born on February 9, 1937, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Charles Lang and Mary Jacobs Lang. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Mr. Lang was retired from Blake and Pendleton, Inc., where he worked as an industrial equipment salesman. Always a jokester, he often claimed to have bought his wife her first pair of shoes, and teased his children with tales of time spent with his longtime girlfriend, Mary Magdalene Hiawasee Haseltine. "Who Shot Aunt Maggie" was his favorite movie. He enjoyed woodwork and in his retirement created small scale replicas of homes and buildings that held significance for him.
Mr. Lang was preceded in death by his older sister, Juanita Lang, his older brother, James Lang, and his son, David Kyle Lang.
Mr. Lang is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria Dianne Brown Lang; children, Gregory E. Lang (Jill Parris Lang, Meagan Sheahan, Linley Dunn), Joel Kevin Lang (Diane Lang, Josh Hoose, Dani Williams), Jody Derrick Lang, and Jennifer Gayle Lang (Beryl Regula, Jessica Regula, Gostin Watson), and his sister, June Lang Johnson.
