Iris Walton

Iris Walton, 89 of Macon passed away peacefully on Monday June 29, 2015 and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Funeral Services to honor her life will be held Thursday July 2, 2015 at High Point Church, 2963 Hollis Road, at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Trey Dickerson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Iris was a Godly, selfless woman who would do anything to help anyone. She had a love for flowers and baking cakes. Iris attended High Point Church and was also involved in the Prison Ministry and The Women's Glow Club. Ed Grisamore once wrote about Iris's work with the prison ministry and spoke about those she had helped. Her kind heart and precious spirit will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Thelma Wilson, Husband, Ralph "Bo" Walton and three sons, Gary Massengale, Joel Massengale, and Mark Massengale. As well as one sister, Corliss Joiner.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving family, her daughter, Jerrylyn Schwarzenberger (Robert), sister, Brenda Wright (Ivy), Grandchildren, Paige Fair(Steve), Roger Leaptrot (Brenda), and Larry "Tuck" Tucker (Kathy). Great-Grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Ashley Paige Aldridge, Tyler Tucker, and Kyle Tucker, three Great Great Grandchildren. As well as two dear friends that were like sisters to her, Nell Bedgood and Trudie Ione
