Howell Newberry

Howell Franklin Newberry, Jr "Buddy"., 66, of Macon went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with his son, the Reverend Chuck Beaver officiating. Interment will be immediately following in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends, Thursday, January 14, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road.
Born in Byron, Howell was the son of the late Howell Franklin Newberry, Sr., and Mary Ruth Trotter Newberry. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Ocmulgee River Gun Club. One of Howells favorite hobbies was shooting sporting clays. He traveled all over the state competing in sporting clay competitions.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mary Newberry, Son; Chuck Beaver (Kristen), Daughter; Wendy Gaskin (Jeb), Brothers; Larry Newberry (Beth), and Steve Newberry as well as grandchildren Courtney Beaver, Jared Beaver, and Aubrey Gaskin.
