Hobert Aldridge

       Hobert Theodore "Buddy" Aldridge, Jr., 93, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2025.       

       Mr. Aldridge was born on September 13, 1932, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to the late Hobert Theodore Aldridge and Pearl Stone Aldridge. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant after a long and distinguished career. During his service, he was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.       

       Buddy was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite Lodges in Gastonia, North Carolina. After retirement, he and his beloved wife, Louise, enjoyed traveling together, spending cherished time at their favorite timeshares in Panama City and Myrtle Beach.       

       In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Louise Aldridge; sisters, Louise Gamble and Ruby Kaylor; grandson, David Thomas Aldridge; and daughter-in-law, Eleni Aldridge.       

       He is survived by his sons, Hobert Theodore "Ted" Aldridge III (Beverly), Craig Thomas Aldridge, and Scott Trent Aldridge (Susan); grandchildren, Tyler Theodore Aldridge (Katie), Justin Aldridge, Chris Aldridge, Jodie Aldridge Brooks (Brian), Jeramy Wilcox, Heather Church, and Todd Slaton; as well as great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace, Lily Joy, and Addison Claire Brooks who will carry on his legacy of love and family.       

       A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, Georgia.       

       Mr. Aldridge will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud veteran, and loyal friend who lived a life of integrity, service, and love for family and country
