Herman Jones

Herman Wayne Jones, 80, of Macon, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Western Kentucky and Tennessee, he was the son of the late Rev. Wilson and Reva Cathey Jones.
Wayne was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the United States Navy. During his 20 years with the Navy, he served on several aircraft carriers and worked with the Blue Angels.
Wayne was a member of the American Legion and the Fleet Reserve. He was a mem- ber of Liberty United Methodist Church and was also retired from the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricultural Center.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Anita Allen Jones, children, David Jones (Kelly), Bryan Jones (Donna), Kristin Williams (Robby); Brother, Hal Jones (Sally); Grandchildren, Ryan, Allison, Amber, Ashley, Madison, Briggs, Evan and Kinley. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Georgia Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville at 2:30 PM. The family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
