Harry Luttrell

Harry Newton Luttrell, 84, of Lizella, Ga. passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his home at 12:20 a.m. surrounded by his family, Heidi Flanders, Scott, Jennifer, Issac and Ryder Luttrell, and Kylie and Siera Brinkerhoff. Funeral Services will be private.
Mr. Luttrell was born on September 30, 1938, in Hammond, Indiana, to the late Mr. Josiah Newton Luttrell and Mrs. Marie M. Freyman Luttrell. He proudly served his country in both the United states army and navy and would often recount combat stories to his grandchildren. Mr. Luttrell retired after a lengthy career in private security. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating with his children when they were young. He also adored cooking for his family and bringing everyone together for gatherings. When it comes to relaxing, he loved reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune with his family.
Mr. Luttrell was preceded in death by the love of his life of 10 years, Brenda Luttrell; brothers, Robert Luttrell, Donald Luttrell, Raymond Luttrell, and Jerry Luttrell; sisters, Juanita Harrison, and Joanne Waddle.
Left to cherish Mr. Luttrell's memory are his brother, Richard Luttrell; children Josiah Luttrell (Christina), Tina Haumersen (Lee), Heidi Flanders (Adam) and Scott Luttrell (Jennifer); Brenda's children; Lee Hill, David Hill, Chris Hill, Michael Hill, Tommy Hill, and Josie Hanner; twenty grandchildren, eleven great-children with one on the way and several nieces and nephews.

Harry especially will be remembered by his witty sense of humor and gracious soul.
