Hardy Marvin Scarborough, 80, of Macon, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 10, 2017. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Living Waters Fellowship Church, 6120 Thomaston Rd, Macon. Pastors Justin Webb, Stephen Scarborough and David Mullis will officiate. Burial will be immediately following the service in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 until service time at the church.
Mr. Scarborough was born on January 27, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Hardy M. Scarborough and Mary Theresa O'Sullivan Scarborough. He was a 1955 graduate of Robert E. Lee in Jacksonville, Florida and Carson Newman College in Jefferson City Tennessee, where he later pastored a church. For the past 37 years, Mr. Scarborough has served as the Pastor of Living Water Fellowship Church in Macon, Georgia. He led several prayer groups for pastors in the Macon area.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years, Connie Dee Scarborough. Six children; Denise Hopper (Cleve), Terri Hooper (Mike), Cam Scarborough, Hardy Scarborough (Susan) Stephen Scarborough (Cameka), and Stephanie Baston (Jonathan). 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. His legacy will live on forever through his family that he loved will all of his heart, as well as all of the people he touched. He was strong and bold, and now is in heaven with his Lord and Savior.
