Glenn Howard Cowden, 75 of Lizella, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Community Church, Lizella, Ga. Burial services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, Alabama at 2 p.m. Reverend Quinn Hammock will officiate.
Born in Kingsport, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Glenn Alexander Cowden and Mildred Dixon Rector. He was a retired mechanical engineer and a member of the Fellowship Community Church. He was preceded in death by Son, Michael Durden and Brother, Kyle Rector.
He is survived by his wife Rosethalyn Weldon of Lizella, Ga; Children, Glenn Cowden, Jr, Richard Zinser of Florida, Karen Nelson of Alabama, Alisha Dressler of Alabama, Tina Bishop(Reggie) of Georgia, Emily Weldon of Georgia, Lisa Doles(John) of Georgia, Charles Weldon(Janille) of Colorado. Brothers and Sisters, Lois Johnson of Pennsylvania, Jean Hawk, Joe Rector, Betty Hart, Janice Rector, all of Tennessee. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. God parent of Mirandalynn Faith Meeks.
