Gene Mckinnon

Gene C. McKinnon, 67, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. The family will greet friends Monday, December 8, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. til 8:00 P.M. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Macon Evangelistic Church with the Reverend Gary Berrier officiating. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Cemetery, Milledgeville at 2:30 P.M. with military honors.
Gene proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Gene attended Macon Evangelistic Church and was a truck driver.
His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife Jana McKinnon, two sons, Daniel McKinnon (Jami), and Kevin McKinnon (Lori). Two daughters, Kim Davis (Eric) and Kelli Cranford (Mac), a step-son, John Strickland (Jennifer), one sister, Sandy Stembridge (Edgar) as well as 13 grandchildren.
