Gail Delores Bumgarner Becka, 76, of Macon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 28. Funeral Services to honor her life will be held on Friday, April 4, at 11:00 AM at Gilead Baptist Church, 4800 Ivey Drive, Macon, Georgia 31206. After the service, Mrs. Becka will be laid to rest at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledegeville at 2:30 PM. The family will greet friends on Thursday, April 3, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home.
Mrs. Becka was born on January 13, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Charles Bumgarner and Mrs. Clinda Lee Cox Bumgarner. She was a member of Gilead Baptist Church. Mrs. Becka retired from Brown & Williamson after 17 years of service. She always put God first, she also loved cooking, entertaining her family and friends, a strong disciplinarian, going to the beach, interior decorating, she loved fashion, Gunsmoke, Little House on the Prarie, The Golden Girls, landscaping, she was also a social butterfly.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Becka was preceded in death by Brother Charles Jr.
Left to cherish Mrs. Becka's memory are her husband of 24 years, Stephen Becka; children, Traci Green, Rod Davis, two step-children, Scott Becka and Courtney Becka, 3 Grandchildren, Courtney, Chuckie, Benji, 5 Step Grand-Children, Dirk and Nicholas, Barrett, Corinn and Vanessa, and 11 Great Grand-Children.
