Fred Perry Ragan, 92, of Macon, joined his loving wife in heaven on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon. Dr. Brad Marchman, Dr. Craig Bailey, and Reverend Phil Bryant, will officiate. Immediately following the service, Fred will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. the day of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Ragan proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, where he was an electronic specialist. Mr. Ragan was a member Lawrence Drive Baptist Church, where he was involved with the Brannon Sunday School Class, and very active in the Deacon Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Exie Kitchens Ragan, as well as ten siblings.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Patsy Haynes (Jim) and Perry Ragan ( Wanda) . Three grandchildren; David Wilder, Christy Sutton (Tony), and Kyle Ragan. Three great-grandchildren; Brianna Keesee, Avery Sutton, and McKenna Sutton.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thank you to Tina Woodard, and Aleatha Woodard for all the compassion and care given to Mr. Ragan.
