Francis Byrd

Francis Clyde Byrd, Jr., 84, of Macon passed away January 3, 2016. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, with the Reverend John Marc Cooling Officiating. Interment will be immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Born in Macon he was the son of the late Francis Clyde Byrd, Sr. and Martha Caroline Byrd. Clyde proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for four year and after his time in the Air Force he retired from the Naval Reserve. He was an Electronics Supervisor for Robins Air Force Base and an active member of Pine Forest Baptist Church where he was involved in his Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Gary Byrd.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years; Latrelle Byrd, Daughter; Pamela Lynn Bridges, Son in law; David L. Bridges, Grandchildren; Lyndsey N. Bridges, Jonathan D. Bridges, and Nicole B. Watson, and two great-grandchildren. As well as one sister, Janice Bible and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations please be made to the Pine Forest Baptist Church Building Fund.
