On May 11, 2026, our dear mother Frances Hester stepped into her forever home with her Jesus! She was greeted by her beloved family & friends who went before her. We will one day be with her!
Frances had a long & very blessed life. She filled her 102 years with her love for Jesus & her love for all her family. She loved cooking for her children & grandchildren. She was the center of every holiday & special days we celebrated!
Frances started church & inspired many to seek Christ. She was faithful always to her Lord. She is now walking & talking & rejoicing with those she loves!
She is survived by her loving daughters: Alice Vissage, Marcenia DesRoches (Don), Peggy Rambeau, Michelle Lanier (Darrell), Darnell Miller (Jerry) and Jan Hester. Frances also leaves behind her dear sister, Pauline Smith, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren, who will continue to cherish her memory.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alexander and Lois Elizabeth Harrell; her beloved spouse, Samuel B. Hester; her daughter, Madelene Welch; and her son, Sammy Hester.
Funeral services to honor Frances's life will be held at New Elim Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia, on Friday, May 15th, 2026, at 11:00 am. Friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation preceding the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 2124 SR-129, Dublin, Georgia at 2:00 pm. Pastors Johnny Baggett and Shane Farr will officiate.

Frances's legacy of faith and love lives on in the countless lives she touched. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
