Floyd "Woody" Rickman, was born May 16, 1937 to Floyd and Juanita Rickman of Tchula, Mississippi. January 6, 2018, Woody left his earthly home and was reunited with his loving wife of 56 years, Carrie "Sue" Rickman.
Woody proudly serviced in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, receiving many awards, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. His military career saw him log many miles on C-141 aircrafts. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Woody worked another 20 years in the aerospace industry.
Woody spent 30 years of his career and retirement in Lompoc, CA. He was active in the community, coaching youth football and baseball for many years. Woody also restored classic cars and built model planes. Woody and Sue relocated to Macon, GA within the last 10 years.
Woody was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sue Rickman and his brother, Jimmy Rickman. Woody is survived by 3 sisters; his daughter Lynn Hayes (Greg); son Gene Rickman (Maureen); and his grandchildren Brandon, Alyssa, Candace, Connor, Brook (Meagan) and Jaclyn, of all whom he was immensely proud.
