Florence Hambrick

Florence Marie McCrary Hambrick, 93, of Macon, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. A celebration of Mrs. Hambrick's life will be held on Thursday, February 15, at 2:00 PM in the Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum with Mrs. Nanette Harmon officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Hambrick was born on March 8, 1930, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Willard Leon McCrary and Mrs. Lillian Lee Lewis McCrary. She retired from Robins Air Force Base, where she worked in manufacturing and cable repair. She spent much of her free time shopping, working word search puzzles, reading, and watching Dr. Jerimiah.

Mrs. Hambrick was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Willard Hambrick; children, Danny Ellis, Wayne Ellis, Jerry Ellis, and Doyle Ellis; and grandchild, Tashia Livingston.

Mrs. Hambrick is survived by grandchildren, Christy Bennett, Kimberly Lancaster, Lacey Herring, Jerry Lee Bennett, Whitney Bennett, Chris Thomas, Deborah Hambrick and Ricky Hambrick; great-grandchildren, Kye Bennett and Kaislee Bennett; and nieces, Janet (Joel), Diane (Speedy), Patricia, and Susan.
