Evelyn Nettie Wolverton

December 21, 1943 — October 3, 2015

Evelyn Nettie Lavenia Reynolds Wolverton
December 21st, 1943— October 3rd, 2015
Macon, GA---Evelyn Wolverton—71 went to be with the Lord on October 3rd, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Evelyn fought a good fight with Health issues and Dementia for over 12 years.
Evelyn was born in Macon, GA to the late George Washington Reynolds and Trenton Bledsoe Reynolds.
Evelyn traveled with Steve to many places during her life. She loved all of them and always made their house a "Home" wherever they were stationed. After Steve's retirement they settled in Macon, Georgia in the home that Evelyn's dad had built many years before. Evelyn was a Wonderful, Loving, Caring, and Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, cousin, and Friend. She was a Girl Scout Leader and involved with Scouting for many years. She was a part of the "Ladies Auxiliary" for VFW Post 658 and for the Middle Georgia CB Radio Club. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She will always have a special place in the hearts of anyone who go to know her. Most people think Evelyn is going to Heaven because of all the Good things she did in life for everyone. But that isn't the Truth or the Reason she is in Heaven today! She is in Heaven because she asked the Lord to save her many years ago. Pastor William Ice led her and Steve to the Lord and had the privilege of watching them grow in the Lord.
Evelyn was pre-deceased by her Brother: George Reynolds, Sister: Betty Lois Reich, Nephews: Kenneth Reynolds and Ronald Reich, Niece: Catherine Reynolds Brown, and One Grandchild whom she is spoiling in Heaven.
Survivors include her Loving and Caring husband of 52 years: Stephen Allen Wolverton. He diligently cared for her through her illness for over 12 years.
Her Son: Richard Allen Wolverton of Macon, Georgia.
Her Daughter and Son-in-law: David L. and Lisa A (Wolverton) Johnson of Trenton, GA
Her Grandson: Daniel Lee Johnson of Trenton, GA
Sister: Mary Susie Goss of Cumberland, Maryland
Brother & Sister-in-Law: Charlie and Glenda Reynolds of Swannanoa, NC.
