Era Raughton

Era Irene Raughton, 96 passed away peacefully July 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. Burial will be immediately following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Talapoosa, Georgia she was the daughter of the late Levi and Irene Johnson. Era worked many years at Heard Elementary School and was retired from the Bibb County Board of Education. She was also a member of Porterfield Baptist Church.
Era was preceded in death by her loving husband Trenton J. Raughton, Son; Billy T. Raughton, Grandson; Randall Bruce Hulette, Brothers; Carlos and Arlin Johnson and one son-in-law, Harlin H. South.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Betty R. South of Lagrange, Bobbie R., and much loved son-in-law, Billy Barfield of Macon, and son, Byron L. Raughton of Macon. Eight Grandchildren, Three Step-Grandchildren, Twenty-Two Great- Grandchildren, and Fifteen Great- Great-Grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Pruitt Health at Peake Nursing Home and United Hospice of Macon.
