Elvis Crenshaw, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024. A funeral service to honor his life will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Reverend, Albert Mickel will officiate the service.

Elvis was born on March 2, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisianna to the late Jonathan Crenshaw and Dorothy Gaines.

Luke 4:43 "And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent."

Elvis Crenshaw was known for moving from place to place with his family in tow.  Just as Jesus preached the kingdom of God to other cities, it was Elvis' mission to go wherever God moved him.  His praise and worship was always through his music; playing his bass guitar in churches in California, Alaska, Georgia, South Dakota, and Louisiana. However, preaching and praying for the lost was the mission that God gave him whether it was at work, at home, a private word after church or in the pulpit. He made sure to give people what they needed to hear without any fluff. Even if that meant he would only reach 1 person in the congregation; he reached the person that needed to be reached. As a husband and father, he made sure to instill in his family the word of God above anything else. Family prayers, Bible study, and church was the norm. He moved when God said, move. He spoke when God said, speak. He was quiet when God said to be quiet. He prayed when God, said pray. He preached when God said, preach. He obeyed God and taught his family to do the same.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jonathan Crenshaw and mother, Dorothy Gaines.

Left to cherish the many memories of Elvis is his loving wife, Elise Crenshaw of 32 years and 6 children: Julian Crenshaw of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jordan Crenshaw of Macon, Georgia; Shyeeta Crenshaw of Lancaster, California; Marquise Crenshaw of Lancaster, California; Nicole Harmon of Lancaster, California; As well as 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Joey Crenshaw, Giselle Lewis, Randall Crenshaw, Janine Crenshaw.
