Eloise Lloyd Black, 66 of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, September 8, 2023. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. till 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Columbus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Eugene Lloyd and Mary Ben Roulan Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gary J. Black, Danny Black, Sister, Sunday Lou Lloyd, Sister-in Love, Donna Woods, and Aunt Carrie Teel.
Mrs. Black graduated from Hardaway high school in 1975 and graduated from Columbus college in 1979 to become a teacher. She was a proud member of the Delta Zeta sorority. Eloise continued her philanthropic study in American Sign Language. She began teaching in Mississippi, moved to Alabama, and settled down in Macon, GA as a high school math teacher at Southwest Highschool. She went on to become the Athletic Director, as well as, Math Department Head at this same school. She loved all sports and was often found selling tickets or helping out at football, basketball, softball, track, or baseball games cheering on the patriots. She retired with over 30 years of service teaching. In her free time, Eloise enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially Kim Rush, at Shooter's Lounge. Eloise loved turtles, which represented her sorority. She was a big fan of University of Georgia Bulldogs Football. She wasn't afraid to let out a GO DAWGS anytime or anywhere. The true treasure of her life was her three grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori McKinnon (Kevin), Grandchildren, Madison, Taylor and Logan McKinnon, Siblings- Raymond Eugene Lloyd II, Ben Roulan Lloyd and Barbara Lloyd Stutz (Mack), her brother in law's Loren Black (Betty) and John Woods. several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, Aunt Betty Sue Akin, lots of cousins, and life long friend Sonny Taunton.
