Ellis Brooks

It is with great sadness that the family of Ellis Brooks announce his passing on Saturday, November 24th,2018 at the age of 75 years. He was a long-time member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Macon, GA. He attended Perry High School in Houston County and was employed at Armstrong World Industries in Macon, where he retired in 2004 after serving 37 years. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the community in which he lived for over 30 years. Ellis was the son of the late Ed Sanders Brooks and Lillie Beatrice White-Brooks. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lola B. Brooks and three out of four of their children Lorenzo Finney, Maurice Vann Brooks, and Cassandra Golden.
Ellis leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Eric (Robyn) Brooks (Atlanta, GA) and Andre (Anesa) Smith (Warner Robins, GA), four brothers Waymon Brooks (Warner Robins, GA), Gregory (Brenda) Brooks (Macon, GA), Derrick Jeffrey Brooks (Warner Robins, Ga), and Zalton Brooks (Seattle, WA); two sisters Patricia Ly-Brooks (Seattle, WA) and Eddie Mae Brooks (Centerville, GA); a special aunt Annie Ruth Moore and uncle Nathaniel White. Also, he leaves nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a devoted longtime friend, Theresa Hugley; his church family and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon, Georgia. Viewing is at 12 o'clock and funeral services will begin at 1 o'clock. Cards, flowers, may be sent directly to the funeral home.
