Elliott Fuller, 95, of Macon, Georgia passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 4256 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon, GA 31216. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will following at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Born on November 5, 1922 in Macon, Georgia, to the late Joseph and Carra Fuller, Elliott proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Elliott entered the Marines at the age of eighteen, and made a lifelong career of serving his country. During his twenty-nine long career he served in several conflicts including World War II, The Korean Conflict and two tours in Vietnam. It was during his last tour in Vietnam that Elliott was wounded and received a Purple Heart. He later worked as recruiter. After his time in the service, Elliott began a career with the United States Post Office which lasted nineteen years. He was a member of the Exchange club, and was the booster club president for Windsor Academy. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves and was an avid fan. Above everything Elliott was a caring husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He was the epitome of a family man, and was his happiest when he was spending time with them.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 66 years, Bonnie Reynolds Fuller. During their life together they built a loving family together that consisted of four children: Ronald Elliott Fuller (Cathy), Dwayne Eric Fuller (Melissa), Connie Coffman (Dennis) and Jeanine Ratterree (Mike). Nine grandchildren: Nathan Fuller, Jason Rigby, Ashley Lee, Erica Jessup, Joshua Astin, Cole Ratterree, Seth Fuller, Kaleb Fuller and Laney Fuller. Three great grandchildren: Blanton Jessup, Jackson McGreggor and Eli Astin. Sister; Nell Smallwood and one special sister-in-law; Carolyn Roland.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Bolingreen Health and Rehabilitation for the care they showed Elliott in his time of need.
