Elizabeth Tillery

Elizabeth Virginia Proctor Tillery, 93, of Macon, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Lee Griffin and Pastor Ronnie Hollis will officiate. The family will have visitation beginning at 12 noon in the church. Face coverings will be required to attend.
Born in Henderson, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late William Henry Proctor and Sarah Carey Proctor. She was the widow of the late Lawton "Bob" Hubert Tillery and was preceded in death by her son, Troy Lee Tillery
Mrs. Tillery was a longtime member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she taught the Youth Sunday School Class for years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret P. Whitby, her daughters, Frances T. Ham and Deborah T. Porter (Robert). Grandchildren: Christopher Tillery (Kelly), Bruce Knight (April), Elizabeth T. Greene (Robert), Alissa P. Evans (Gabe), Kelly K. Grant (Todd), Lindsey P. Speranza (David). Great grandchildren: Abby Tillery, Sydney Knight, Sarah Rose Greene, Reese Evans, Brennan Evans, Madison Belknap, Mallory Belknap, Ava Grant, Benjamin Grant, Porter Speranza, and Andrew Speranza.
