Elizabeth Annie Stallings Mitchell, 81, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM at United Community Church. The family will accept friends one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Immediately following, Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Cory Maurer will officiate the services.
Elizabeth was born in Baxley, Georgia on January 13, 1943. She was a devoted member of United Community Church where she made lasting friendships with everyone she encountered. She was a woman of simplicity and grace. She found joy in the small wonders of life—the vibrant cardinals that visited her garden, the beauty of flowers, and the peace of nature. Elizabeth loved tending to her garden whenever she could, finding comfort and purpose in the earth. Above all, her family was the light of her life, and she cherished them with all her heart. A devoted servant of God, Elizabeth's faith guided her every step. Her kind spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and faith will live on forever.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, James M. Conner; second husband, Kenneth Boyd Mitchell; brother, David Stallings; and sisters, Allene Eason and Gladys Fulton.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Judy Conner, James Mitchell and Gary Conner (Connie); brother, Earl Stallings; sister, Lois Mize; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
