Edna Mae Chandler

Edna Mae Chandler, a cherished resident of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on Tuesday, March 31st, 1953, in Cordele, Georgia, Edna brought light and joy to all who knew her.

Edna was predeceased by her beloved parents, William Leon Chandler and Audrey Stovall, as well as her brother, Bobby Chandler, and sister, Betty Woodard. Despite the challenges she faced, including a disability that left her unable to work, Edna lived a life full of love, laughter, and warmth. Her passion for playing BINGO at the nursing home was well-known, as was her ability to spread joy and kindness with her infectious smile and sense of humor.

She is survived by her devoted brothers, William L. (Erlinda) Chandler and Tommy Lee (Lisa) Chandler, as well as her nephews, Brad Sutton, Tommy Chandler, Jr., Larry Michael Chandler, John Phillip Chandler, and nieces, Mary Solano and Audrey (Chris) Brown and several great nieces and nephews. For years, Edna received compassionate care from her caretaker, Betty Penamon, whom she considered family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home in Macon, GA. Friends and family are warmly invited to pay their respects and share memories of Edna during this time.

The funeral service to honor Edna's beautiful life will be conducted at Fairhaven Funeral Home Chapel in Macon, GA, on Friday, July 24th, 2026, at 12:00 pm. The service will be a celebration of Edna's joyful spirit and the loving impact she had on those around her.

Edna Mae Chandler may have departed this world, but her laughter, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
