Edith Nancy Craig, 79, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with her Lord Saturday June 28, 2025, surrounded by her family. A funeral service to honor her life will be 11AM Thursday July 3, 2025, at Emmaus Chapel, 4890 Buckhead Rd, Buckhead, GA 30625. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to services for a time of visitation. Immediately following Edith will be laid to rest at Buckhead Cemetery 4441 Buckhead Rd Madison, GA 30650. Pastor Danny W. Bryant will be officiating all services.

Edith was born January 13, 1946 in Madison, Georgia, to the late Mr. Hardy Craig and Ms. Laverne Bryant. She was a force of nature, spicy, spirited, and full of heart. She loved her family above all else, even if her love came with a little tough love and a whole lot of honesty. She had a gift for keeping everyone in line, always making sure her people stayed strong and together. Edith found joy in the simple things: a quiet afternoon with her crochet, the satisfaction of a well-tended garden, a good day fishing, or a lovingly cooked meal shared around the table. She never shied away from a good argument, often with a twinkle in her eye, and she had a soft spot for dogs that betrayed her tough exterior. Fiercely loyal and deeply loving in her own unforgettable way, Edith leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and devotion.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her loving husband, of 32 Years, Jimmy Outzs; stepfather, LD Woodall; daughter, Patrice Kelly; brother, Pat Craig; and her fur baby, Chi Chi.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Charlda (Cissy) White; son, Wayne Porter; stepson, Bryan Outzs; brothers, Thurmon (Cindy) Craig, Weymon Craig; sister-in-law, Betty Craig; grandchildren, Nikki Webster, Craig Porter, Veronica Riner, Jessi Jo Porter, Demi Porter, Brandi Porter; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
