Edgar Earl White, 88, of Macon, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, September 21, 2023. A graveside celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 27, at 1:00 PM in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Pastor, Bo Turner officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, September 26, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home.
Mr. White was born on August 16, 1935, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Samuel White and Mrs. Mattie Hataway White. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, during the Korean War. Mr. White retired from UPS after 30 years of service, where he worked as a "professional" delivery driver. He was an avid fan of University of Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Mr. White spent his free time bowling and shopping; his wardrobe and shoe collection was unmatched. A man with a generous heart, he was a supporter of Real Life Church and always gave to those less fortunate. Above all else, Mr. White loved his family. He will be forever missed by all that knew and loved him.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Mary Lavon White; second wife of 11 years, Mary Drawdy White; daughter, Karyn White Hawkins; and brother, Sammy White.
Left to cherish Mr. Whites memory is his loving daughter, Rhonda Drawhorn (Kenneth); grandchildren, Clint Little (Brandy), Danny Mullis, Paige Day, Kaylee Jacobs, Cory Drawhorn (Raina), bonus grandchildren that he adored, Mandi, Wesley, Jake, and Rhonda; and 18 great-grandchildren.
