Edgar Keith Vinson of Byron, GA passed away on October 12th, 2026 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 10, 1958, Keith was the beloved son of the late Edgar Bass Vinson and Ann Potts Vinson.
After graduating from Windsor Academy in 1976, Keith embarked on a long and versatile career that spanned farming, electrical, plumbing, and heavy equipment work. He was a skilled operator, who had a genuine passion for machinery and was always in his element running everything from farm equipment to excavators. He officially retired in 2024 from Vinson Trucking.
After retiring he fulfilled one of his long time dreams and purchased a sailboat. He found peace splitting his time between Byron and Brunswick, GA. His sailboat became his retreat where he spent peaceful nights enjoying life by the water.
Above all, Keith cherished his relationship with his family. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren, and took great pride in being "Pappy." His love for them was unwavering, and he treasured the time they shared together.
He is survived by his loving children: Rebecca Vinson, Padriac Vinson (Frances), Kaytlin Saldana (Nelson), Danielle Diogo (Josh), and Amanda Vinson. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Matthew, Micheal (Rachel), Krystal, Savanna, Tucker, Noah, Eli, Emma, Marleigh, and Avery.
Keith is also survived by his brothers, John Vinson (Deanna), and Bobby Vinson (Para). He leaves behind a niece, several nephews, and his longtime personal friends, Greg Renfroe and Mike Borders, as well as many other dear friends.
He will be remembered for his hard work, steady presence, and deep love for his family. His legacy will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
In keeping with Keith’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends. We will share more details once arrangements are finalized.
