Earl Mcglon

Albert "Earl" McGlon, 85, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025. He was born on October 20, 1939, in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late James Richard McGlon and Minnie Mae Thigpen.
Earl dedicated his career as a maintenance supervisor with Keebler, where his sharp mind and engineer's way of thinking earned the respect of many. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church. He also faithfully served as a member of Masonic Lodge 663, Al Sihah Shrine, and the Scottish Rite.
Known for his wisdom and willingness to share advice, Earl loved fishing, traveling to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his humor, his strength, and his unwavering dedication to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Peggy McGlon; his son, Ronnie McGlon; and granddaughter, Stephanie.
Earl leaves behind a legacy of love through his children, Ricky McGlon and Rena Dale Childs (Chris); six grandchildren, Angie, Benji, C.J., Wesley (Melissa), Brittany, and Ricky Earl; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, causes that were close to Earl's heart.
