Dorothy "Dot" Phelps Bledsoe

Dorothy "Dot" Phelps Bledsoe, 86, of Musella, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023. A funeral service to honor Mrs. Dot will be Monday, August 28, 2023 at Lizella Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation at the church. Immediately following the service, Mrs. Bledsoe will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Chris Minton will officiate.
Mrs. Bledsoe was born on May 22, 1937, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Mr. Ottis JM Phelps and Mrs. Bessie Jo Phelps. She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church where she devoted much of her time to her Sunday School Class and Sunday Services. Dot was very involved and dedicated to the Gideons ministry. In her free time, she enjoyed the simplicity of gardening and upkeeping her flowers. Before Royce passed away, they spent a lot of time together and made many precious memories. Above all, her family was the light of her life. They will forever cherish all the memories they made together.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Mrs. Dorothy is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Bryan; and brother, Sunny Phelps.
Left to cherish Mrs. Bledsoe's memory are her children, Glenn (Vickie) Bledsoe and Donald (Kelly) Bledsoe; brother, Danny (Mary) Phelps; sister, Patsy (Earl) Blanchard; grandchildren, Brett Bledsoe, Brittney (Anton) Lennartsson, Bryan (Pfeiffer) Bledsoe, Ryan (Keith) Marsh, Katie (Lee) Seeley, Jennifer (Nate) Hickey, Chad (Stephanie) Bedwell, Leah (Rob) Miller, Amy (Blake) Davis; great grandchildren, Ben, CJ, Cora, Reese, Stella, Eli and baby Livia on the way.
