Doris Tidwell

Doris Corley Tidwell, 75 of Lizella, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Evangelical Church, Sandy Pointe Road, Lizella, Ga. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Russ Bozeman and Reverend Ricky Tidwell will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Born in Juliette, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Hiram Corley and Agnes Wilson Corley. She was retired from Keebler Cookie Co. after 20 years of service.
Mrs. Tidwell was a member of the Fellowship Evangelical Church, where she attended the adult Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Corley, Gene Corley, Marvin Corley, and R.L. Corley; Sisters, Alma Crawford, and Louise Dykes.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Willie "Buck" Tidwell of Lizella, children, Joey Tidwell(Wendy) of Lizella; Sherrie Smith of Lizella, and Robyn Moore of Starkville, Mississippi; Stepsons, Clay Tidwell( Sandra) of High Falls, Ga., and Blaine Tidwell (Wanda) of Pooler, Ga. Sisters, Shirley Daniel (Danny), Janie Mays, and Ruth Waits; Brother, Mickey Corley (Erin).
Eleven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren loved by "Mama Doris"
Flowers will be accepted, but memorials may be made to the Fellowship Evangelical Church, 4967 Sandy Pointe Road Lizella, Ga. 31052 or to the Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road Macon, Ga. 31210.
