Donna Bowen

Donna Carpenter Borders Bowen, 69, of Macon, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon. Pastor Rodney Callahan will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
Donna was born in Byron to the late David and Dorothy Carpenter. She worked the majority of her life as a Homemaker. She loved to knit and crochet as well as shop. Donna was very involved in the Bible study group where she lived, so much in fact she took over as the social coordinator.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, as well her husband; Walter L. Bowen and one sister; Sheila Carpenter.
Left to cherish her memory is her three children; Randy Borders (Lynn), Amy Purser (Robbie) and Jody Borders. Grandchildren: Logan Pitts, Brittani McCullough (Joel), Rob Purser, Ryan Purser, John Borders, Mackenzie Borders, Landon Borders and Levi Borders. Great grandchildren; Gabby and Wyatt. Siblings: Barbara Sawyer (Gary), Debbie Wood (Tim) and David Carpenter, Jr. (Roseanne).As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
