Diana Penuel Smith, 68, of Perry, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
Diana was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina on March 12, 1956, to the late Mr. James Edward Penuel and Mrs. Betty Bratcher. She was a strong willed, and outgoing woman that never met a stranger. Diane enjoyed the simplicity of sewing, crocheting, crafts and quilting. She had a green thumb, always ensuring her plants were just right. Above all, her family was the light of her life. She created many memories with them over the years that they will carry in their hearts forever. Diane will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Chucky Woodie; sister, Donna Penuel; and grandchild, Gavin Woodie.
Left to cherish the many memories they have with Diane is her husband of 37 years, Ronald Smith; children, James (Olivia) Woodie, Casey Smith, and Amanda Smith; brothers, Bob (Stacy) Penuel, and Butch Penuel; sisters, Connie Penuel, Christina Richardson; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
